The brine circulation tank used in ion membrane electrolysis has testing circuits before and after dechlorination; it is necessary to control parameters such as temperature and flow rate. We use plate heat exchangers, and it is easy for the temperature to exceed the specified limits. 1. If the temperature exceeds the limit, the lifespan of the electrode will be significantly reduced; Without temperature correction, the test results will be inaccurate. I can’t figure out why the temperature of the plate heat exchanger is difficult to control I can’t understand it. 2. A decrease in traffic will not affect the detection results, but the results will be delayed. If the detection circuit is too long, it will have an impact on production.
Excessive temperatures are detrimental to production; if it is not possible to improve heat exchange efficiency or add more heat exchangers, the only option is to reduce the flow rate
Additional note: Our circulating cooling water is quite dirty, and its heat exchange efficiency deteriorates over time. It’s also possible that the heat exchange area is insufficient and has not been increased, which is why excessive temperatures occur frequently. Since this does not have a direct impact on production, it has not been addressed yet!
Based on actual operation conditions, high temperatures have a particularly significant impact on the pH value, which is clearly reflected in the amount of hydrochloric acid added. For example, the amount of hydrochloric acid added before entering the dechlorination tower; therefore, the temperature needs to be adjusted according to the actual conditions.
It is advisable to add circulating water discharge ports before and after the plate exchanger for regular cleaning. Analytical instruments have specified ranges for medium flow rates, and it is not a problem to make adjustments within these ranges.
