I will need the dichlorofluorescein indicator for an open-ended experiment next time, but after searching through many sources I still don’t know how to prepare it. If any expert knows how, please give me some guidance.

It is orange in color and exhibits yellow-green fluorescence when dissolved in ethanol and dilute alkaline solutions; it is slightly soluble in glycerin and diols, almost insoluble in oils, fats, and waxes, and insoluble in water and dilute acids. Its strongly alkaline solution turns purple when heated. Its sodium salt is C20H8Cl2Na2O5, C.I.45365. It is used as an adsorption indicator in the silver quantitation method for the determination of halogens. This product should be stored sealed and protected from light.
