When sodium hydroxide reacts with aluminum hydroxide, how can the residual aluminum hydroxide in the solution be determined effectively? ? Since sodium hydroxide is present in the system, the neutralization titration method cannot be used. I wonder what method can be used to measure it? The problem seems to be poorly described; I’m not sure whether you want to measure the utilization rate of aluminum hydroxide or determine the aluminum content in the clear solution
It seems that the purpose is to determine the amount of unreacted aluminum hydroxide in the solution; this can be done by filtering to separate aluminum hydroxide from the sodium aluminate solution. To determine the content of sodium aluminate in the solution, simply take the filtered solution for analysis. The above opinions are for reference only.
I forgot to add that the EDTA complexometric titration method can be used as the determination technique.

They are all solutions; there are no solids. How can they be filtered and separated?
If the aluminum hydroxide has not reacted completely, there should be particles of aluminum hydroxide in the solution. It is recommended to use centrifugation to separate the unreacted aluminum hydroxide, followed by analysis (the separated material must be washed with water to remove soluble substances)
Aluminum hydroxide will form a precipitate; filter it using filter paper, and then analyze the residue to determine the amount of aluminum hydroxide present!
