The actuation stroke of the control valve is insufficient, and the opening degree is not adequate; adjust the range and repeatedly verify the zero position and full stroke. The valve suddenly closes or opens completely: check whether the feedback rod of the actuator is detached, and whether the diaphragm is cracked or leaking. The valve cannot be opened or does not respond to input signals: check for any handwheel restrictions, or if the valve core is stuck; disassemble it for repair. The valve operates slowly: check whether the balance valves of the upper and lower cylinders are fully closed. There is internal leakage in the valve: check whether the valve is fully closed, or if the valve core has been damaged due to erosion; disassemble it for repair. The valve’s ability to regulate flow is weak: check for blockages in the valve body, especially in the valve cage; disassemble it and clean it.
