To determine whether a double-flange transmitter is faulty, given that it operates under high pressure and there is no venting system, and the first valve is a flanged gate valve, how can this be determined?
It can generally be compared with the on-site level gauge. It is also necessary to consider false level signals caused by changes in container density.
1. Difference compared with the on-site level gauge； 2. Contact the process technician to evacuate the liquid level and check whether the transmitter is at the zero position ； 3. Contact the process technician to fill the level to its maximum, and check whether the level is at the appropriate range ； 4. Use a hand controller to check if there are any abnormalities with the transmitter.
It is advisable to install a vent valve on dual-flange level transmitters to facilitate instrument inspection.
