On March 14, Zhang Minglin, deputy general manager of Yankuang Group, chaired an expert review meeting for the feasibility study report of Guohong Company’s methanol deep processing project. The methanol deep processing project of Guohong Company includes an annual output of 600,000 tons of methanol-to-olefins, 300,000 tons of vinyl acetate, 200,000 tons of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer/low-density polyethylene, and 300,000 tons of polypropylene. After listening to Hualu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.'s report on the preparation of the project's feasibility study report, the participating experts were divided into two groups: process technology and economic calculation, and discussed and demonstrated the relevant matters in the report. After review, the expert group unanimously believed that the content of the feasibility study report was basically complete, the technical solution was advanced and feasible, and the argument was sufficient, so it was approved in principle. After the meeting, the participating experts also went to Guohong Company for on-site inspection.
This is good news, but there is a question that I don’t quite understand. What does “600,000 tons of methanol to olefins” mean? Is it 600,000 tons of methanol or 600,000 tons of olefins?
