Could someone please explain: what are the concepts of furnace wall area, cladding area, and furnace chamber virtual surface? It would be great if the explanation were easy to understand. Thank you everyone! :handshake
Let me share some of my experience in calculating the structure of furnaces for chain grate boilers. First, I draw a sketch of the furnace; I usually add up the areas of the front wall, back wall, side walls, furnace arch, outlet, etc., to obtain the area of the furnace walls. The area of the furnace walls, plus the area of the grates, constitutes the total covering area. It’s just my experience, and it may not be accurate, as there is no precise algorithm for such calculations.
