I want to learn CAD 3D, but I don’t know how to start. Most CAD books focus on 2D concepts. There are too few 3D ones. The video tutorials online also start with 2D. Do you have any good methods for learning 3D? I study chemical engineering. Thank you all.
If you want to find out, it’s easy – just check AutoCAD’s help documentation. But if it is for chemical engineering design, corresponding secondary development software is necessary. AutoCAD is just a platform.
AutoCAD does not have strong 3D design capabilities; it’s better to use other 3D software such as SolidWorks

CAD is quite good at creating 2D plans, but I don’t think it’s very good at creating 3D models. There are many customized software options such as Cadworx, Autoplant, and SolidWorks, which are all quite excellent
Solideworx is good; I’m using it now and its performance is better than CAD’s
