A pipeline made of 98% sulfuric acid is connected to a high-temperature furnace, where the sulfuric acid is used in chemical reactions within the furnace. The temperature inside the furnace is around 500 degrees, and there is also the risk of corrosion caused by hydrogen chloride gas. It is better to use Inconel 625 tubing, but it is relatively expensive.

The friend upstairs is wrong; the pipes you mentioned are not capable of withstanding high temperatures at all – they can handle at most a little over 100 degrees
Try the steel-reinforced PVC pipes – they’re new, and they should work fine, but they are a bit expensive
INCONEL625 has good high-temperature resistance, while Hastelloy has excellent corrosion resistance

The key elements are high-temperature concentrated sulfuric acid and high-temperature hydrogen chloride gas; for pipes like these, only high-purity silicon carbide can solve the problem. With current technology, silicon carbide pipes of up to 4 meters in length can be manufactured! Alternatively, coating Hastelloy X with a silicide layer can also provide a long service life; it is also relatively easy to process. If metal linings are to be used, gold or platinum lining must be chosen, as other common metal materials cannot withstand HCl gas at temperatures above 540 degrees, nor can they tolerate boiling hot concentrated sulfuric acid! Gold can withstand temperatures of up to 870 degrees in high-temperature HCL, while platinum can tolerate temperatures of up to 1200 degrees
