In instrument calibration, what’s the issue with the frequency signal for increasing speed?

When applying a frequency signal to the hydraulic turbine, why does the higher the frequency I use, the lower the speed displayed on the DCS become, and vice versa? Check the 505 or 3C settings, and also try using another signal generator; we usually use the Druck multi-functional signal generator
