What does the low temperature alarm on the oxygen pipeline (TIA1302L) indicate? ? ?
The temperature of the outlet pipeline of the Texaco oxygen buffer tank, TIA1302, is used for temperature and pressure compensation of the oxygen flow rate. As long as the displayed temperature value is correct, it should not have any impact. A low reading for this temperature (usually around 25°C) indicates that: 1. The ASU likely uses an oxygen-in-compression process, and there may be an imbalance in heat exchange, which requires adjustment; 2. The external temperature might be too low, or the insulation is insufficient or inadequate. I would appreciate expert advice on this matter
A low reading of the oxygen pipeline temperature indicates poor heat exchange efficiency, or that the temperature and quality of the medium flowing through it do not meet the design requirements. It seems that no mixed steam is added during normal operation of the Texaco process; cleaning is also carried out after flushing with nitrogen at room temperature. Setting the alarm value at 25°C doesn’t seem to be sufficient to prevent condensation from occurring. Typically, V1301 and the oxygen pipes are made of austenitic materials, so operation at temperatures above -20°C should be permissible. I would appreciate any guidance from experts in this field
I’m not sure what manufacturing process the original poster is referring to; the oxygen heater using the SHELL process also reports low temperatures, with the tag number 13TAL0002. It seems that Brother Yuan is correct regarding this issue
