I carried out alkali washing in three separate sessions. Before the maintenance, all three alkali washing cycles worked properly; however, after the maintenance and modifications, the first alkali washing cycle stopped functioning correctly. Even after replacing the alkali, the normal operation of the alkali cycle could only be maintained for about 2 hours before it failed again. The amount of liquefied gas used increased by around 6 tons compared to before the maintenance, the mixer remained unchanged, and it was found that the alkali from the first alkali washing tank ended up in the second alkali washing tank! Please, experts, help solve this problem!
What is the content of the renovation? Has the level of the alkaline solution been adjusted?
The load is too high and the mixer is too small; it is recommended to use stages 1 and 2 in parallel next time. For now, reduce the valve at the root of the alkali solution circulation and give it a try.
Reducing the amount of liquefied gas didn’t help either; the alkali circulation remains abnormal. The amount of liquefied gas we use varies greatly, ranging from 3 tons to 30 tons, but such fluctuations shouldn’t affect the secondary alkali process. What’s going on here? After switching from liquefied gas to automatic mode, the fluctuations become larger. It can be controlled smoothly manually – how is that possible? 1 ?
Large fluctuations in the amount of liquefied gas can lead to the carryover of alkali solution, resulting in a low level of alkali solution. This increases the pressure difference with the liquefied gas, impairing the circulation of the alkali solution. Large fluctuations in automatic control may be due to improper adjustment of the instrument’s calculus functions; you can contact the instrumentation team for assistance in making the adjustments.
