My device generates large amounts of waste alkaline solution, which contains sodium hydroxide, sodium sulfide, and sodium thiol – and it’s difficult to deal with! I’m not sure if it can be recovered to the raw water tank for acidic water stripping! Will it have an impact on the equipment? Can it be stripped together with acidic water? What are the impacts on the manufacturing process?
It is generally not used, as the waste alkali residue contains not only the substance you mentioned but also many colloids, which can easily clog the trays and accelerate equipment corrosion; moreover, the effluent poses a challenge to wastewater treatment plants as well
May I ask what the purified water obtained after acid vapor stripping is used for? If it is a hydrogenation unit, water injection is not feasible; however, for atmospheric and vacuum distillation units, water injection via electrodesalination can be considered.
It should not be possible. Acidic steam stripping is primarily used to treat sulfur and hydrogen sulfide, but it has no effect on thiol compounds; this leads to a deterioration in the quality of the purified water, and it also causes corrosion of the equipment
Thank you all for your help! 4! Gums and thiols cannot be stripped. Are there any new processes or additives available that can solve this problem?
We are planning to conduct an experiment by injecting 0.3%
