The perforated plate of the fluidized bed cooler in our large-particle granulation system was damaged; a repair wrench was used to pass through the perforated plate and the bolts were tightened to secure it. But I’m afraid the cracks in the porous plate will grow larger, leading to severe cracking of the plate during normal operation, and urea particles will fall from the damaged areas into the lower layer of the cooling chamber. I had it repaired, and the repair technician said that all of these porous plates need to be replaced ； But the cost is too high. I think one should find a small steel plate, drill holes in it, place it beneath the perforated plate, and then secure it around the damaged area with bolts. It is unknown whether this has a severe impact on the flow pattern in the bed layer. (The holes in the perforated plate are slanted holes with a thickness of 1 millimeter)
How many years has this large-scale installation in your factory been in use?
As long as the porosity of the patch plate is higher, it has little impact on the fluidization effect!
If it’s a state-owned enterprise, it’s still advisable to get a new one to avoid causing trouble for the management. It’s good for the employees too. :)
