How to depolymerize acetaldehyde? I heard that acetaldehyde is easy to polymerize, but I don’t know how to depolymerize it? Please help me! Not very grateful! ! !

(Acid will accelerate the self-polymerization of aldehydes) If the crystalline powder of polyacetaldehyde (tetramer) is heated to about 112 degrees, it can sublimate and self-decompose. Polyacetal itself is unstable, and light and heat can cause it to self-depolymerize.
Put the polymer into the distillation tower, add acid, such as hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid, and depolymerize under heating. At the same time, the polymer is fed for distillation, and acetaldehyde can be obtained from the top of the tower. If pressure is used during the depolymerization process, the effect will be better.
