Before the recycling unit is put into operation for the first time, both the waste boiler and the condenser need to be chemically cleaned. Is a 3-5% aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate always used, or are there other solutions as well? How should the quality of this cleaning process be evaluated?
Our factory uses sodium bicarbonate; the manufacturer recommends that a relatively weak base will suffice. Sodium bicarbonate is a product of our group company, so it is used for this purpose. However, during the boiler operation period, it is necessary to take samples regularly to analyze the alkalinity of the boiler water, and chemicals should be added when the alkalinity drops below 45 mol/L.
