What is the effect of using polyferric and polyaluminum compounds together?
For some wastewater types, a combination of the two methods yields better results. There are now companies that have developed polyaluminum ferric sulfate coagulants, which can be found by searching online.
Polymer coagulants based on aluminum and iron work well in the printing and dyeing industry, offering good results in Korean-style applications. However, their effectiveness in waters contaminated primarily with SS is uncertain; in industries such as glass processing and ceramic manufacturing, such coagulants are not as effective as plain aluminum polymers.

When using flocculants, it’s possible that none of the available chemicals meet the desired requirements; in such cases, it’s necessary to find some industrial raw materials or even industrial waste and use them to prepare the flocculant oneself. The substance to be used should be determined based on the quality of the water; the goal, of course, is to have a chemical reaction that results in the formation of precipitates.
