Let’s discuss: the methods for aligning and finally securing the columns during the installation process
Correction: The correction of columns includes three aspects: planar position, elevation, and verticality. The calibration of the column’s height has been completed by measuring from the base of the cup, while the adjustment of the column’s horizontal position was done during column alignment. Therefore, after the column is temporarily fixed, only its verticality needs to be adjusted. The method for checking the vertical deviation of a column involves using two theodolites to examine the perpendicularity of the column’s lifting line from two adjacent sides of the column (with the lines of sight being essentially perpendicular to the column surface). In the absence of theodolites, a plumb bob can also be used for this purpose. If the deviation exceeds the specified value, the verticality of the column should be corrected. In addition to the commonly used wedge and steel fiber correction methods, strut correction and screw jack correction methods can also be employed for alignment; finally, fixation: Once the column has been aligned, final fixation should be carried out immediately. The final fixing method is to pour fine aggregate concrete into the gap between the column foot and the cup mouth. The strength grade of the concrete used can be one grade higher than that of the concrete in the original component.
