Construction technique of diaphragm walls

A continuous wall of concrete or reinforced concrete is first poured around the foundation pit to support the soil walls, prevent water from seeping in, and avoid the occurrence of sand flow.

Introduction to the diaphragm wall construction method (1) Based on the method of wall formation, it can be classified as: ① Pile array type； ②slat plate type ； ③Modular. (2) According to the purpose of the wall, they can be classified as: ① Seepage barrier wall ； ②Temporary retaining wall ； ③Permanent retaining (load-bearing) wall ； ④An underground diaphragm wall used as a foundation. (3) According to the reinforcing materials, they can be classified as: ① Reinforced concrete walls ； ②Plastic concrete wall ； ③Cured mortar wall ； ④Self-hardening mud wall ； ⑤Prefabricated wall ； ⑥Mud tank walls (filled with gravel, clay, and cement mortar) ； ⑦Post-tensioned prestressed diaphragm wall ； ⑧Steel diaphragm wall. (4) Based on the excavation method, it can be classified as: ① Diaphragm wall (excavation) ； ②Underground impermeable wall (without excavation).
