Our living environment has been damaged – sandstorms in spring and autumn, droughts in summer, ice rain in winter... The Sanlu milk powder scandal, Johnson & Johnson’s bathroom products – what should we do in the face of these issues? As people living on Earth, how should we start taking action to protect the environment on which we depend for survival?
1. Save water. 2. Avoid using disposable wooden chopsticks, plastic bags, disposable bowls, etc. 3. Plant a few trees every year, starting from in front of one’s home. 4. Sort waste properly. 5. Use the air conditioner less. That’s all for now; we’ll think of more things to do once we start implementing them
Conserve electricity and water. Use solar energy. Opt for electric vehicles or public transportation, as well as bicycles. Do not discharge chemicals indiscriminately; wastewater must be treated before it can be released. Eat more vegetarian foods. . . . .
