In my opinion, it is not necessarily necessary to harden the ground in tank areas!!! But it’s relatively easier if it involves construction and renovation.
For liquid hydrocarbon storage areas, hard flooring is required by regulations; as for oils and liquid chemical products, whether hard flooring is necessary depends on the properties of the products and local environmental protection requirements. “The \"Design Code for Oil Depots\" stipulates that in areas with suitable temperatures, a 0.15m thick evergreen grass lawn can be laid in the tank area, which helps to lower the surface temperature and reduce evaporation losses.
