Must high-pressure vessels undergo overall heat treatment in a furnace? Article 73 of the Compliance Regulations. Is this statement independent, or does it have to be valid on the basis of GB150? Even if the plate thickness and medium meet the requirements of GB150, must high-pressure vessels still undergo overall heat treatment in a furnace (Article 73, Paragraph 1 of the vessel regulations)?
Article 73 of the Pressure Vessels Regulation: High-pressure vessels must undergo overall heat treatment after welding. The purpose of this is to eliminate residual welding stresses. This treatment is performed separately. However, heat exchangers can only be subjected to partial heat treatment, as overall heat treatment would cause deformation of the heat exchange tubes.
There must be a misunderstanding. Paragraph 1 of Article 73 states that for these types of containers, if heat treatment is required, it shall be carried out through overall heating in a furnace. If heat treatment isn’t necessary, then nothing else can be discussed.
It should be established on the basis of GB150. This sentence should be understood as follows: if a high-pressure vessel is to undergo heat treatment, overall heat treatment in a furnace should be used.
GB150 is a general principle; in practice, however, it depends on whether the standards are followed strictly or not.
For overall heat treatment, it is not feasible for pressure vessels that contain internal components, as some of these components cannot be subjected to heat treatment
The requirements specified in the pressure vessel regulations represent the most basic demands; specific operations must also comply with the relevant provisions of GB150 as well as industry standards. Such as requirements for the material and wall thickness of the container. Choose the higher one, not the lower one.
High-pressure vessels, medium-pressure reaction vessels and storage vessels, horizontal storage tanks for mixed liquefied petroleum gas, and mobile pressure vessels shall undergo overall heat treatment in a furnace. The prerequisite is that the container requires post-weld heat treatment.
