Calculation of the pressurization vaporizer for LNG storage tanks? Problem statement: Calculate the process of raising the pressure in the 10 m3 gas space from 0.4 MPa in the unloading state to 0.6 MPa in the operating state within 30 minutes, after a 100 m3 LNG tank is filled with 90 m3 of LNG. What size air-temperature gasifier should be used for each storage tank to pressurize it, in order to meet the requirements? It is known that the temperature of LNG entering the booster vaporizer is -162.3°C, while the temperature of gaseous natural gas exiting the booster vaporizer is -145°C. As we all know, complex physical heat transfer processes and phase change reactions occur within the LNG storage tanks during this process; therefore, they cannot be treated as simple ideal gases. All heat transfer calculations are approximate simulations, and it is impossible to achieve complete accuracy; this is also why a certain margin must always be taken into account in the calculations for heat exchangers. Assuming that a stable state is reached inside the tank, the temperature remains constant while only the pressure increases, this process simplifies to one of vaporizing a certain amount of liquid, after which the heat exchange area can be calculated.
