　According to a report by Business News on March 19, as the use of fertilizers came to an end in most areas recently, the sulfuric acid market has gradually returned to its weak state. To be precise, the sulfuric acid market has not really recovered at all; it remains weak, with supply still exceeding demand. More sulfuric acid production facilities across various regions have stopped operating or reduced their production, and the operational rate of these facilities has generally declined. Currently, there are significant differences among the sulfuric acid markets in different regions. In the south, it is mainly used by downstream chemical enterprises, while in the north, since the application of topdressing has not yet ended, downstream fertilizer companies have an increased demand for sulfuric acid compared to before. Although the market remains sluggish, sulfuric acid prices have seen a slight increase in some areas today, rising by 30–50 yuan compared to last week. In Nanjing, the price of mineral acid is around 300 yuan per ton, while in Hebei it is around 350 yuan per ton. In Zhejiang province, the price of sulfuric acid is around 270 yuan per ton, but actual transaction prices come with discounts. 　　The fertilizer market does not offer good sales prospects; manufacturers say that the market conditions are poor at present. The prices of sulfuric acid vary in different regions – there have been some changes in the price of sulfuric acid in Henan Province. Due to an increase in demand from downstream users, manufacturers no longer have any inventory, which has led to a slight rise in the price of sulfuric acid, by 30 yuan. Currently, the ex-factory price of 93% pure sulfuric acid in Henan is between 150–180 yuan per ton, while the price of 98% pure sulfuric acid is between 230–260 yuan per ton. In the Hunan region, the price has increased by 20 yuan recently; the current actual selling price is as follows: the factory price for 93% purified acid is 200 yuan per ton, while the factory price for 98% purified acid is 220 yuan per ton. There are significant regional differences, and market demand is average. 　　The prevailing transaction price for sulfuric acid in the market is around 180 yuan. Production activities by downstream enterprises are generally low due to weak demand, and it is expected that the market will decline in the middle to late part of May. Manufacturers say that there will be changes in the price of sulfuric acid in April.
