Mechanical Engineer CAD and Auto CAD

Between these two software options, which one do you think is more user-friendly? I haven’t used CAD for mechanical engineering yet, but after looking at the operation manual, I think that since the former has a richer graphics library, it might be more convenient for drawing diagrams It is important to know what the disadvantages are compared to Auto CAD, or whether there are any issues when converting it into Auto CAD drawings
Mechanical Engineer CAD is software developed on the AutoCAD platform; it includes a variety of drawing libraries, as well as frame elements, title bars, roughness specifications, standard components, and various commonly used symbols from standards, all of which help to increase the speed of drawing. Its storage and reading format is the DWG file.
A mechanical engineer is just a plugin
What was said upstairs is correct; a mechanical engineer is just a plugin, and once installed, it provides standard components that can be used directly in CAD. What the poster is referring to is probably the mechanical version of CAD, namely AutoCAD Mechanical. This software is more suitable for mechanical design, while CAD is meant for a broader range of users. CAD files can be opened in Mechanical, while Mechanical files cannot be opened in CAD, but they can be saved as CAD files.

It seems a bit confusing in the post above; it probably refers to the mechanical version of CAD, that is, AutoCAD Mechanical. I’m using it and find it quite useful, as it offers more tools
Seeing this makes me think about whether there are any experts who could develop a CAD tool for chemical engineers, or even create a plugin for that purpose.

AUTOCAD is still better. Regular. The rest are like point-and-shoot cameras; they’re useful and cool to use, but they obviously don’t look professional. It’s just my personal opinion. Hehe
