The process design of the conversion is related to the subsequent processed products. For example, the synthesis of ammonia requires full conversion, and if methanation is subsequently used to remove trace CO, the outlet CO volume after conversion (such as low conversion) is required to be as low as possible (such as 0.5%) to reduce hydrogen consumption and release gas volume. For methanol production, in order to adjust the hydrogen-to-carbon ratio, partial conversion is generally sufficient. At the same time, the design of conversion heat recovery is also related to the water vapor system of the entire plant.
My question is mainly about coal-to-methanol production? I wonder if you know anything about the relevant parameters?
