What are the conditions for circulating residue in delayed coking operations? How exactly to do it?
Confirm that all equipment, pumps, and instruments within the unit are operating properly without any issues. Gradually increase the feed rate to the heating furnace to about 60% of the normal processing rate; the heating furnace is heated at a rate of 20–30°C/h until it reaches 420°C. The four-way valve operates properly, and the equipment has completed its thermal tightening process ； Precautions: 1) Steam should be supplied to the boundary of the residue and heavy dirty oil lines; inform the oil storage area to get ready for receiving residue. 2) Based on the temperature at the top of the fractionation tower, start the crude gasoline pump P1103 in a timely manner to enable top cooling reflux and control the top temperature at around 120°C. 3) During the heating process, operate the four-way valve every half hour. 4) When the heating furnace is raised to 420°C, all main burners must be ignited; the outlet temperature of the heating furnace is adjusted via a temperature control valve, and a comprehensive inspection of the system is carried out. 5) When introducing residue oil, the oil stream is first discharged externally for half an hour (a desulfurized oil line is connected behind the residue oil boundary valve); after the discharge is complete, it is fed into the feed tank. 6) During the displacement process, strict control is exercised to ensure that the temperature of the heavy contaminated oil leaving the unit does not exceed 100°C. 7) Ensure accurate flow measurement of residue entering the unit. 8) The residue oil was replaced for 2 hours, and the unit re-established a closed-loop circulation.
