1 Replace the packing seal. For 2-stage support pumps, inspect and clean the bearings, bearing housings, oil seals, water seals, oil level gauges, etc., and adjust the bearing clearance. 3 Check and repair the alignment of the coupling as well as that of the drive unit and the pump. 4 Address common defects that occur during operation. 5 Check and clean the cooling water, seal oil, lubrication, and other systems. 6 Check and repair the mechanical seal. 7 Inspect each component for wear, corrosion, and erosion during disassembly. Non-destructive testing of the pump shaft and impeller is carried out when necessary. 8 Inspect and clean bearings, oil seals, etc., and measure and adjust the clearance of bearing oil seals. 9 Check the circular runout and clearances of various parts of the rotor, and perform dynamic balancing adjustments if necessary. 10 Check and correct the straightness of the shaft. 11 Measure and adjust the axial play of the rotor. 12 Check for any misalignment in the pump body, foundation, foot bolts, and its inlet and outlet flanges, to prevent additional stress from being applied to the pump body; reconfigure the piping if necessary.
Steps for overhauling a centrifugal pump: 1. Shut off the power supply, close the inlet and outlet valves of the pump to be overhauled, as well as the bypass valves, cooling water valve, seal oil valve, and other relevant valves, and drain all the material from within the pump; ⒉Process the work order and designate a supervisor and maintenance worker ; ⒊Check for any misalignment in the pump body, foundation, foot bolts, and its inlet and outlet flanges, to prevent additional stress from being applied to the pump body; reconfigure the piping if necessary ; ⒋Check and repair the alignment of the coupling as well as that of the drive unit and the pump ; ⒌Check and clean the cooling water, seal oil, lubrication, and other system conditions ; ⒍ Inspect each component for wear, corrosion, and erosion during disassembly. Non-destructive testing of the pump shaft and impeller is carried out when necessary ; ⒎Handling common defects that occur during operation ; ⒏Inspect and clean the bearings, bearing housings, oil shields, water shields, oil level gauges, etc., and adjust the bearing clearance. ⒐Replace the packing seal or inspect and repair the mechanical seal ; 10. Inspect and clean bearings, oil seals, etc., and measure and adjust the clearance of bearing oil seals ; 11. Check the circular runout and clearances of various parts of the rotor; perform dynamic balance testing if necessary ; 12. Check and correct the straightness of the shaft ; 13. Measure and adjust the axial play of the rotor ; 14. Reset installation ; 15. Contact the user unit to supply power and introduce the medium; operate the pump in accordance with the operating procedures. Once the trial operation is successful, hand it over to the user unit.
There are maintenance procedures in the tank; let’s take a look – it might be helpful
