In the operation of steam boilers, there is often a serious problem of ash accumulation on the water wall tubes; in severe cases, the amount of ash can exceed 1 millimeter. This significantly affects the boiler’s thermal efficiency and safe operation. Manual cleaning of the ash not only requires a lot of effort but also makes it difficult to remove all the ash completely. In extreme cases, it can damage the tube walls, thereby affecting the lifespan of the tubes and ultimately the boiler itself. I wonder how others deal with this problem? Discussion is welcome
Dry ice cleaning. Eco-friendly and efficient. But 1 millimeter of yours isn’t serious.
