Based on two domestic plants already in operation with a capacity of 200,000 t/a and another plant under construction with a capacity of 850,000 t/a (with a natural gas consumption of 888 m3/a), estimates have been made for the natural gas consumption and investment requirements for a plant with a capacity of 600,000 t/a. (3) Natural gas conversion employs a technology that combines steam reforming and partial oxidation.
