The flue gas extractor is malfunctioning, and the flue gas is flowing directly through the double-acting slide valve. What is the purpose of this manual bypass valve?

Dude, be sure to turn on this valve so that the smoke can circulate, and keep the temperature of the smoke above the temperature at which corrosion occurs due to dew point. This line is the dew point corrosion prevention line for the smoke extractor inlet, and it is activated in case of a fault with the smoke extractor.
Typically, there are two bypass valves, which can be either slide valves or butterfly valves. There are 2 bypass valves in front of our flue extractor; one of them leads directly to the chimney. I used to think they were only used to purge the catalyst accumulated in the inlet pipes before starting up the equipment, but it turns out they have another function as well. Another one is the warm-up valve

The manual bypass valve is also a secondary valve of the waste heat boiler, which can isolate the waste heat boiler.

Didn’t you just say it? It’s the bypass for the flue gas system, which serves to prevent pressure buildup in the regenerator. Without such a bypass, there would be no outlet for the flue gas, and the device would be very dangerous. The purpose of this bypass is indeed to prevent pressure buildup of the flue gas
I agree with the original poster’s view. After the flue gas extractor is shut down, it is essential to prevent dew point corrosion. Additionally, catalyst can accumulate in the inlet pipelines of the flue gas extractor, and once the equipment is restarted, this catalyst will flow into the extractor, causing problems!
