Nur Bekri, Deputy Secretary of the Autonomous Region Party Committee and Head of the Autonomous Region; Erligen Yimimbaihai, Director of the Autonomous Region; Kureshi Mahsuti, Member of the Autonomous Region Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Autonomous Region; Liu Yanliang, Deputy Chairman of the Autonomous Region Political Consultative Conference and Director of the Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission; Liu Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary of the Prefecture Party Committee and Prefect – all attended the research mission. The central development research team traveled to the Zhundong coal, electricity, and coal chemical industry base in spite of the snow to assess the progress of infrastructure construction in areas such as water supply, power supply, transportation, and communications. At the Wucaiwan reservoir site of the Phase I Qudong Water Supply Project, the inspection team asked in detail about the project progress, water supply capacity, and other aspects. It is reported that the annual water transfer capacity of Phase 1 will reach 100 million cubic meters, which is more than sufficient to meet the water needs for the construction of preliminary infrastructure and the project itself. At the Shenhua Zhundong open-pit coal mine, Liu Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Changji Prefecture, provided an overview of the Zhundong coal, electricity, and coal chemical industry zone, while a representative from Shenhua Company explained the progress in the construction of Shenhua’s coal mines. Zou Yong, Yu Ningyong and their entourage visited Fukang Luneng Company accompanied by Liu Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Changji Prefecture. Subsequently, Zou Yong, Deputy Director of the Regional Economy Department of the Development and Reform Commission, along with his entourage, visited the Dahuangshan Hongji Coking Plant and the Fukang Power Plant, accompanied by Liu Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of the prefecture.
