Ours is a water ring type 2BE1 vacuum pump. The product gas is hydrogen and nitrogen for the production of synthetic ammonia, so there is no problem of water in the product gas. If it contains water, it will only cause water to enter the adsorbent. Of course, what the fifth floor is talking about should be CO2 gas or hydrogen gas, that is, desorption gas. The gas in this area contains a lot of water. The first solution is to add a water separator to strengthen the separation. The second is to reduce the pressure before entering the pump and reduce the air volume before entering the pump as much as possible. The third is to appropriately close the pump water inlet valve.
The PSA in our factory also carries water, and the reason lies in the water ring vacuum pump. Domestic reciprocators cannot achieve a large air volume. During normal production, water needs to be added many times per shift. The entrained water is eventually cut out at the bottom of the product hydrogen buffer tank. Since it is winter driving, considering that the pipelines and buffer tanks need to be heated, after consultation with the vacuum pump manufacturer, instead of using water as the medium, use non-corrosive, low-volatility, and lower-density oil than water as the medium. The effect is good.
