After the low-temperature methanol wash water is combined, do I still need to open the ports of each tower to check whether there is any dirt?
1. Water washing is mainly to wash away impurities in the equipment, such as rust, welding slag, etc. Water combined transportation is mainly to use water instead of methanol medium after water washing for joint testing to debug equipment/electrical/instruments, etc. During water combined transportation, all instruments, etc. must be After installation, pay attention to the measuring range of the instrument, the electrical pump and the load of the water combined transport (because the density of water and methanol is different, if the water combined transport is carried out according to the flow rate of methanol, the instrument and pump will be damaged), the filter during water combined transport must be installed and cleaned in time. 2. Work after washing: (1) Replace the removed manholes and flow orifice plates, close the stop valve of the DW pipeline entering the tank, and remove the fire hoses everywhere. (2) Pressurize the system to keep the tank pressure at 0.05 MPaG. The pressure of the remaining tower tanks is adjusted to about 0.2MPaG and is automatically activated. (3) After the system is pressurized, open each diversion valve one by one to drain the system. When no water is discharged from each diversion valve, close all diversion valves, the system drainage is completed, and each tower tank uses nitrogen to maintain the above pressure. The purpose of water combined transportation is to clean the system of impurities, the air tightness of the system and the operation of each pump, whether the valves can be adjusted, the instruments can display correctly, and to accumulate operating experience.
After the water intermodal transport, the tower manholes are generally not opened, because after the water intermodal transport starts to fill the tower with water, the pumps should be thoroughly cleaned before running the subsequent pumps. If there is still an open tower manhole, then the filter screen of the pump must be reflected first, and the pump will not be able to operate normally.
Water intermodal transportation is usually carried out after nitrogen replacement. In order to prevent oxygen leakage, the manhole will not be opened. Generally, you can tell how well the cleaning is going by looking at whether the discharged water is clear.
