What shape would be suitable for the foundation of a vertical equipment unit with a diameter of 5 meters and a net weight of 40,000 kg (equipped with a skirt base, and the bottom plate featuring ring supports)? A. A circular foundation as a whole (commonly known as a ‘cake’ shape). B. An annular foundation (since the equipment base is ring-shaped). Which option is better? Please help……
B is good because the base pressure is low.
