In a semi-circular tube jacketed vessel, does the pressure inside the semi-circular tube jacket affect the pressure inside the cylinder? If so, what is the coefficient of influence? I hope my colleagues can provide some insights; thank you
What impact can external pressure have on internal pressure? Two pressures that do not interfere with each other. Are you asking what effect the pressure of the half-pipe jacket has on the wall thickness of the inner cylinder?
After the shell strength calculation is satisfactory, a check must be conducted on the total stress in the axial direction of the cylinder or in the transverse direction of the head; if this check fails, the wall thickness of the shell must be increased until the requirements are met. I just did the calculations by hand a few days ago; for details, see page 95 of HG20582.

The nominal thickness and effective thickness of the container cylinder and head sections are determined in accordance with the relevant sections of GB150, based on the calculated pressure being internal or external pressure, for the same container without a semi-circular tube jacket. Then, a check is performed on the total stress in the axial direction of the cylinder or in the radial direction of the head.
