When manufacturing enterprises carry out production, is it necessary to affix the seal of the design unit on the material substitution request form in addition to signing it? There are two scenarios: 1. The design and manufacturing are carried out by the same entity; 2. The design and manufacturing are done by two separate entities. In our company, design and manufacturing are integrated, so only a signature is required on the form, with no seal needed
One entity does not require it; a signature is sufficient. Two entities need both a stamp and a signature
Here, we don’t even need a stamp; whether it’s a drawing designed by us or by another party, having a signature is sufficient.
Our former company had its own design capabilities and relied on signatures for approval; now, however, the company is only involved in manufacturing and no longer has a design department. We therefore use a design firm to handle the design work and add their seal, after which we make copies and stamp them with the seal of our technical department before distributing them to the relevant departments
Manufacturing units that do not possess design qualifications must obtain in advance an approval document for the design changes issued by the original design unit, which of course must bear the seal of the design unit； If a manufacturing unit with design qualifications has its design department approve the use of such designs and sign off, then a seal is not required, right?
Within one’s own company, a signature is sufficient; however, for documents from other companies, a seal is necessary as it relates to matters of responsibility – at least one copy must have a red seal!
Strictly speaking, it should be stamped.
If no seal is applied, problems may arise due to the substitution of materials, and it’s likely that the organization will refuse to take responsibility and shift the blame to individuals (especially since both the designer and reviewer have left their original organizations). This would complicate things; therefore, a seal should be applied so that accountability cannot be avoided.
We possess both the design and manufacturing qualifications, and all material substitution forms issued by our company are signed and stamped.
If the company has design qualifications, all that is required is for the design department to sign the material substitution form； If there is no design qualification and it is only a manufacturing unit, signatures and seals are required
We don’t stamp them; the drawings designed by us are the same as those designed by other organizations. Signatures from the persons in charge of design, warehouse management, welding, and manufacturing processes are required, along with the drawing documents
