Our hydrocracking reaction feed pump is driven by a hydraulic turbine during normal production! I’d like to ask an expert: how does one put a hydraulic turbine into operation? Precautions for operation? Whoever has a FLASH animation about the operation of hydraulic turbines, please share it! ! Thank you so much! And give back!
It’s very simple: first preheat the turbine, then open the outlet valve fully, and finally open the inlet valve gradually to start the turbine rotating. The opening degree of the inlet valve depends on the power you need. Precautions: The control unit and the site personnel should pay attention to liquid level control.
Pay attention to the rotation speed to prevent overspeeding; if there is insufficient power after the inlet valve is fully opened, loading can be increased by controlling the bypass valve.
Steps for commissioning a hydraulic turbine: 1. First, ensure that the high-pressure pump is operating properly and that the conditions for starting the hydraulic turbine are met; 2. Establish the turbine lubrication oil system; open the first manual valve from the hot high-pressure outlet to the hydraulic turbine inlet, as well as the turbine inlet isolation valve and the turbine outlet valve. Open the pre-heating line’s small manual valve, and at the indoor side, adjust the turbine inlet flow control valve to 5%–8% opening degree in order to pre-heat slowly ; 3. Be careful to keep the preheating rate at around 50°C per hour ; Be careful to turn the shaft during preheating ; 4. When the temperature of the turbine casing and that of the fluid differ by no more than 80°C, close the preheater. Slowly open the second manual valve at the turbine inlet on the outside, and gradually increase the opening of the inlet flow control valve in a steady manner, ensuring that the turbine reaches a speed compatible with that of the gearbox. To prevent shutdown due to overspeed (typically 3100 rpm), keep the inlet flow control valve open; then slowly open the manual valve completely on the outside, followed by further gradual increase in the opening of the inlet flow control valve ; 5. When performing Step 4, pay attention to maintaining stable control of the hot high-pressure liquid level; manually control the hot high-pressure liquid level control valve if necessary ; 6. Monitor the motor current and the motor stator temperature; these two parameters should decrease significantly after the turbine is operating properly.
Some sources suggest opening the inlet first slowly, while others recommend opening the outlet first to prevent the pump from reversing. We are also planning to use a hydraulic turbine pump; could you please provide more detailed information on this?
