(1) It has favorable conditions for constructing an LNG terminal. The proposed LNG terminal is located on the deep-water shoreline in the western part of the Yangpu Peninsula, between Shenjianjiao South and Ganchong. The waters in this area are extensive; the 10m isobath is located at a distance of about 600 to 1700 meters from the shore. The shorelines are stable, free from freezing and siltation, making it an excellent natural deep-water shoreline with favorable conditions for port construction.
