Proposal that moderators no longer hold multiple positions

After the previous phase of development, the forum has now stabilized, and the moderators for each new section have been assigned. According to the last statistics provided by the leader, many sections have more moderators than necessary. Therefore, it is proposed that all moderators should no longer hold additional positions. Those who are in charge of two or more sections (excluding the information section) should, on a voluntary basis, choose which section they want to focus on. In those sections where there are not enough members, it is easy to find qualified candidates among the regular members if the moderators carefully review the posts. Moderators who also serve as experts should stop holding those expert roles and concentrate solely on their duties as moderators. After all, it is part of a moderator’s responsibility to answer members’ questions; whether they act as experts or not is not important. We can find technical experts among the regular members. Once the candidates have been selected, please ask the leader to create a dedicated list and post it in the office forum for easy reference. Please discuss these proposals. Whether they are implemented or not, moderators who hold additional positions are asked to reply to this post. Regarding the issue of moderators holding additional jobs, all section leaders were informed about this half a month ago; gradually, moderators will no longer be allowed to have such additional jobs within two months
It seems that in our district, the moderators also act as experts. In fact, answering questions is the responsibility of moderators; therefore, it would be better to assign the expert title to other members. Any moderator who reads the posts carefully can easily identify technical experts among the regular members. Moreover, there are currently some members who have been given the expert title yet cannot be found. So I suggest that the leader conduct a survey. This way, when moderators encounter questions they cannot answer, they can contact experts for assistance.

There’s no need for part-time roles; one administrative leader and one technical leader will coordinate with each other and divide the tasks. Because everyone takes time out to come to Haichuan. Our equipment area has undergone reforms; now, moderators do not hold any additional positions – each person is in charge of one specific area. The situation you mentioned, where moderators also serve as technical experts, does not exist in our area either! ! I think if you really have the ability, you can serve as a technical expert as well! !
