As the title suggests: A forced-ventilation preheated air system is used for combustion in the burners at the top of a furnace. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using this system in actual production? Are there many manufacturers using it currently? Those with experience, please share your insights; let’s discuss this together.
The burners at the top of a furnace use forced-air preheating of air to assist combustion, and there are advantages and disadvantages to operating them in actual production. Section 1 reduces energy consumption by using fuel gas. Favorable for combustion. 2 Once the exhaust fan fails, the furnace chamber becomes a pressurized furnace, which requires shutting down the entire system.

In the years since these systems were introduced in the 1970s, they have been changed from suction-type systems; this is done mainly to reduce the smoke exhaust temperature and thereby lower energy consumption. 2\ Even in the absence of forced ventilation, negative-pressure combustion furnaces using exhaust fans are the most common, so it’s inevitable that the furnace will stop operating if the exhaust fan fails. Forced ventilation involves the use of blowers, and in such cases the furnace can usually operate at a reduced load when the blower fails. 3\ Positive-pressure combustion is seemingly more commonly used in boilers. Perhaps out of lack of knowledge, I could provide some information on positive-pressure combustion in furnaces.
Is it easy to control and adjust in the actual production process? ? We’re about to use this thing now; I’m not sure what the results will be
It’s easy to adjust, but we’re using a section of furnace from Kellegg, with damper control for adjustment. Heating the combustion air can at least help release energy; otherwise, the temperature of the flue gases remains quite high. Although it has a low calorific value, long-term waste adds up over time.
