To reflect the educational philosophy of \"grand civil engineering,\" this study provides a comprehensive and detailed comparison of China’s design codes for three types of concrete structures – buildings, bridges, and hydraulic structures – from various aspects such as scope of application, working environment, durability requirements, material properties, structural analysis methods, calculation of plain concrete members, design for the ultimate limit state of member capacity, design for the serviceability limit state, and calculation of prestressed concrete members. It also identifies the reasons behind these differences, to serve as a reference for students and designers.
