I don’t have any materials for practicing*, so I don’t know where to start; I’m a bit lost. I hope someone experienced can give me some advice
If your factory has an S7300 PLC, export its configuration to understand it. If not, download some projects from the internet and import them into the system to understand it. You must have installed the simulation system; if so, it’s best to run simulations of the projects, as this makes it easier to understand. At the same time, the S7300 system itself does a good job in this regard. If you don’t know, press F1.
One can refer to S7’s official Step7 programming manual to learn, understand some basic concepts and components of S7, and then use a simulator to debug small programs gradually, from simple to more complex ones. Then, find some projects that implement similar functions in order to understand the approach and methods behind program structure, as well as the purpose and scope of each function.
Who has Step 7 v5.3 software?
There is a lot of learning material available online regarding STEP7. Here are a few points: 1. Hardware configuration – it’s done in a drag-and-drop manner; first, the backplane is configured, and then the corresponding cards are dragged in; 2. Address definition ; 3. Software programming, various commands – these are roughly the types involved. In fact, other PLCs and DCS systems are also learned in this same way.
There are many Chinese STEP files available for download on the website of Siemens’ Automation Group; you can go and download them. Using the software’s help documents can make it easier to get started.
Could you share your software?
Here is a Step 7 v5.4 software that you can download and try out. http://support.automation.siemens.com/CN/llisapi.dll/csfetch/33121304/STEP7_V54_SP4_Chin_PftW.zip?func=cslib.csFetch&nodeid=33285431
What is the software that the original poster is referring to? PLC or DCS? Thank you all
