There are currently many formulas for calculating sludge, and sometimes it’s hard to know which one to use. Those who have good methods for this calculation are welcome to share them.
During design, it is determined that the sludge volume meets the requirements of the tank, after which the sludge age is established; the amount of sludge to be discharged per day is then obtained by dividing the total amount of sludge by the sludge age.
