Who knows what the minimum size for internal floating roof tanks is at present?
As long as the shape of the tank meets the lifting requirements, tanks of any size can be used. It’s just that the tank is too large; it might not be feasible (due to strength issues). For reference only! ! ! ! ! :handshake :victory:
I have built a internal floating roof tank with a capacity of 700 m3. I’ve never done anything that’s even smaller.
We have done 500m3 ones. But I’m sure 500 m3 is definitely not the smallest.

It’s mainly a matter of diameter. According to the relevant design standards, 200% buoyancy must be ensured. There are spatial constraints on the layout of the buoys. Minimum designed diameter: 4.5 meters for aluminum alloy internal floating roof ; Stainless steel internal floating roof, 5.2 meters.
Our company’s oil depot has 4 internal floating roof tanks with a capacity of 500 cubic meters; we’ve never seen tanks of a smaller size.
Dragonzh’s reply is quite appropriate. Generally speaking, for floating roof storage tanks, their greatest advantage is that they reduce storage losses and ensure quality. Due to their high cost, their capacity is usually over 1,000 cubic meters; so far, the smallest storage tank I’ve seen in storage centers has a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters
