What are cut-off valves and check valves?
Cut-off valves and check valves are quite clear in meaning from their names alone.
A shut-off valve is primarily used to stop the flow of material, while a check valve allows material to flow in only one direction. Prevent backflow.
Cut-off valves and check valves are essentially the same thing as backflow preventers; however, check valves have a simpler structure (a ring with a circular valve disc that can open in a specified direction), taking up less space.
Isolation valves are primarily used to shut off materials. A check valve is a device that allows material to flow in only one direction.
I think the original poster didn’t explain clearly what a one-way valve refers to – does it mean a one-way seal or a check valve? And the term for a shut-off valve should correspond to that of a control valve. My apologies!

I agree with the views of those who commented above as well; a one-way valve seems to be nothing other than a check valve!
