The piping layout should be neat and orderly, with items aligned horizontally and vertically in groups, to facilitate support. The pipes of the entire installation should have staggered vertical and horizontal elevations; generally, the elevation changes when the direction changes, but in special cases or when conditions permit, a straight turn can also be used. What does it mean to change direction while also changing the elevation? Does that mean the pipe’s height changes when its direction changes? Wouldn’t that increase resistance?
