Explosion-proof measures for calcium carbide warehouse ⑴ The terrain of the calcium carbide warehouse should be high and dry. It should not be placed in a place that is easily flooded, and the basement or semi-basement should not be used as a calcium carbide warehouse. ⑵ Calcium carbide warehouses should not be located in densely populated areas or major traffic thoroughfares. ⑶ When the enterprise has an acetylene station, the calcium carbide warehouse should be arranged in the area of the acetylene station. ⑷ The fire separation distance between the calcium carbide warehouse and other buildings and structures should not be less than the requirements in Table 1. In the calcium carbide warehouse in the acetylene station area, when the higher exterior wall adjacent to the gas plant is a fire wall, the fire separation distance can be appropriately reduced, but it should not be less than 6m. The warehouse should be equipped with a pressure relief device, and the ratio of its pressure relief area to the warehouse volume should generally reach 0.4m2/m3. If there are difficulties in preparation, it can be appropriately reduced, but it should not be less than 0.1m2/m3. The pressure relief device should be close to explosive parts and discharge in a safe direction. Windows used for pressure relief should not be double-glazed. The doors and windows of the calcium carbide warehouse should open outwards, and the warehouse should have an entrance or exit that leads directly to the outdoors or through a walkway with a fire door. Entrances and exits should be located where rapid evacuation is possible in the event of an accident. ⑺ It is strictly prohibited to lay water supply, drainage, steam and condensate pipes in the calcium carbide warehouse. ⑻ The calcium carbide warehouse should be equipped with a loading and unloading platform for calcium carbide barrels. The platform should be 0.4-1.1m higher than the outdoor ground, and the width should not be less than 2m. Carbide buckets in the warehouse should be placed on a pad higher than the ground. ⑼ Electrical devices such as lighting fixtures and switches installed in the warehouse should be explosion-proof. ; Or install lamps and switches outdoors, and use reflection methods to shine light into the room from the glass windows. ⑽ It is strictly prohibited to install heating equipment in the warehouse. ⑾ The total area of the calcium carbide warehouse should not exceed 750m2, and should be divided into several rooms by firewalls, and the area of each room should not exceed 250m2. ⑿ The calcium carbide warehouse should be equipped with fire extinguishing equipment such as sand, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers or dry powder fire extinguishers.
①The warehouse should comply with regulations, be well ventilated, and keep dry. Water accumulation, leakage, and moisture are strictly prohibited. ②The calcium carbide barrel should be kept tight and air should not be allowed to come into contact with the calcium carbide in the barrel for a long time. ③When manually breaking calcium carbide, you should wear labor protection equipment ; When mechanically crushing calcium carbide, a dust removal device should be used to promptly remove powdery calcium carbide and properly dispose of it by using the calcium carbide water method as required. ④When setting up the intermediate calcium carbide warehouse and crushing room, moisture-proof measures should be taken.
(1) Calcium carbide transportation, storage, crushing, calcium carbide rooms (warehouses) and slag pits, etc., should be implemented in accordance with the regulations of TJ31.
Mainly fire, explosion and moisture proof are the main focus.
(1) Carbide must be transported and stored in metal barrels and sealed. Possible rain-proof measures should be taken when transporting on rainy days. The words "carbide" and "moisture-proof and fire-proof" should be marked on the stick. Carry it lightly during transportation (2) The warehouse where calcium carbide is stored must be dry and tightly impermeable. Water pipes and heating pipes are not allowed to be laid in the warehouse. The electrical equipment and lighting in the warehouse should use explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting fixtures. (3) When opening the carbide bucket, you can use tools made of brass chisels and hand hammers or hardwood rods. Blowtorches, welding guns and metal tools that can cause sparks are prohibited. At the same time, it is not allowed to open the barrel near the fire, and no smoking or open flame is allowed in the open area. (4) The operation of loading calcium carbide into the generator should be smooth, and the calcium carbide should not be thrown into the calcium carbide basket. If you find calcium carbide "bridging" when adding materials, you can use wooden or copper rods (copper content <70%) to poke the calcium carbide. It is prohibited to use iron rods. (5) Measures such as laying rubber sheets on the conveyor belt or other feeding mechanism for automatic feeding of the generator should be adopted to prevent ferrosilicon from sparking. (6) The generator should be fed according to the particle size specified in the generator instruction manual. (7) The water should be changed on time according to the requirements of the generator instruction manual, and a sufficient amount of clean water should be supplied according to the mark on the water level gauge. (8) Calcium carbide powder on the ground around the generator, or in places such as acetylene stations, calcium carbide warehouses and crushing rooms, should be cleaned up in time and poured into carbide slag pits in batches for processing to prevent the calcium carbide from absorbing moisture and decomposing to form an explosive mixture of acetylene and air indoors. (9) In order to extinguish calcium carbide fires, the calcium carbide warehouse should be equipped with fire extinguishing equipment such as yellow sand, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers or dry powder fire extinguishers. It is prohibited to use water, foam fire extinguishers and carbon tetrachloride fire extinguishers to extinguish fires. (10) The layout, warehouse structure and warehouse facilities of the calcium carbide warehouse should all comply with the safety technical requirements for Class A dangerous goods warehouses. The calcium carbide warehouse should be a single-story first- and second-level fire-resistant building without a roof, and the roof should be made of non-combustible materials. The warehouse pressure relief device and pressure relief area should comply with regulatory requirements.
