Take it step by step: first understand and memorize the process principle flow, and then it will be easy to work on site. Next, remember the key valves in each process, especially the control and regulating valves; use paper (preferably drawings) and a pen to take notes of your understanding wherever you are. For example, the process for collecting oil from catalytic combustion – used for sealing purposes – involves multiple pathways: some of the oil comes from the diesel line of this facility, while some comes from the storage tanks, etc. There are also pathways related to products that are defective
The more you learn, the more familiar you will become.
First, it’s necessary to memorize the main procedures in a short period of time~ Then, every time going out to work with the master, complete one procedure at a time and make sure to understand the connections between them; During breaks, discuss more and ask more questions; if you’re unsure, go to the site to check it out ; In an accident situation, do not move around randomly; remember what the instructors have done, and ask about the reasons afterward. First, get familiar with remote operations and do more work; hands-on practice is much faster than learning from books. The more time you spend on-site, the better you’ll be able to master the key operational steps, especially by taking advantage of the opportunities that arise during startup and shutdown processes. Think more; after each task, analyze the previous and subsequent processes as well as the impact of any changes in those processes on the upstream and downstream units, and the processes will naturally become coherent.
It is essential to first understand the process principle flowchart, then go to the site more often to familiarize oneself with the process, and discuss it with others frequently.
