Our approach is to connect the return water to the water inlet pipe of the desalinated water preheater; this way, will the return water temperature of the desalinated water preheater become very high? Would it be better to install it on the return water pipe?
Actually, this approach works as well, but it’s important to ensure that the desalinated water supply is not interrupted; all that’s necessary is to maintain the appropriate temperature of the return water. In emergency situations, desalinated water can be used directly to feed into the burner in order to protect the return water. In one of our actual operations, there was a leak in the weld at the outlet pipe of the burner protection pump. Instead of cutting off the oxygen supply, we simply fed desalinated water directly into the burner, and everything worked normally.
Is pressure okay? The desalinated water weighs only 7 kilograms, while ours weighs over ten kilograms. Doesn’t the water vaporize when it gets in there?
In our system, the water returns to the deaerator, while the water supply is provided by a pump; in the event of pump failure, a interlock mechanism ensures that supply is maintained for half an hour.
Both approaches are feasible; our factory connects it to the return water, while other factories I have visited connect it to the supply water, and no problems have arisen in actual production. Since the temperature of the return water from the burner is not very high and the total amount of water remains constant, there will not be much variation in the return water from the desalinated water preheater.
